Delverium Tier List Hub
Utility ranks from the Steam demo and previews, not a frozen combat meta.
These Delverium ranks are a shopping list for the next session, not a frozen meta. Sagestone Games (Scott Lowther, who posts as Skoddle) is still tuning tools, weapons, crops, and NPC shops ahead of Steam Early Access, scheduled for September 22, 2026 (the storefront may show September 21 depending on timezone). A free demo has been on Steam since February 2025, and that demo plus public previews are the evidence this hub uses.
We split the lists so a farm evening and a dungeon evening do not fight for the same page. Open the tools and weapons tier list for axe, pickaxe, hammer, torch, hoe, watering can, sword, bow, and staff. Open the farming tier list for till-seed-water, chickens and sheep, and cooked food. How-to steps live in getting started, crafting, farming, and dungeons. NPC housing that feeds both lists is under recruiting NPCs and NPC roles.
How we assign S, A, B, and C
S means the item or loop opens a gate you cannot skip in the first hours: light in a cave, a watered plot, a pickaxe that actually breaks dungeon walls.
A is the default pick once you have a bench. You will use it every session even if something flashier exists.
B is solid but situational: a hammer when you are clearing house rocks, a staff when you have the recipe and the materials.
C is optional, expensive, or easy to postpone. We would rather leave a letter empty than invent a fake endgame toy.
We do not publish numeric DPS, hidden multipliers, or item IDs. Combat notes talk about reach, ammo, and dual-use (an axe that both chops wood and swings in a pinch). Crop notes talk about sustenance, trade, and effort. If two tools share a letter, read the notes instead of arguing about a number this wiki never claimed.
Criteria that actually move a letter
Utility, not prestige. A placeable torch is S because pitch-black caves stall the run. A late staff recipe is not automatically S because it looks magical in a trailer.
Early-game effort. Seeds knocked off wild plants beat a shop-only luxury. A sword that also clears mature crops beats a tool you only pull out for one job. Developer notes from the demo period even point out that swords, axes, and picks leave immature crops alone, while the hoe can wipe any growth — that kind of dual-use is how a combat tool climbs.
Co-op cost. Delverium supports solo play, 4-player split-screen and 8-player online co-op, and you can mix both. There is no official dedicated server; the world lives on the host unless you read community hosting notes. Ranks assume one shared settlement, not eight parallel farms. Duplicate hoes and watering cans help. Duplicate vanity weapons do not.
Preview honesty. Footage and demo write-ups mention wheat and wild forage, chicks and chickens, lambs and sheep, and four NPC jobs: gatherer, blacksmith, agronomist, and merchant. We stay inside that set. We do not pad a table with a made-up legendary crop.
How to use the letters in a real session
- Keep the axe in hand and cut wood plus wild plants.
- Craft or keep a pickaxe and a stack of placeable torches before the first cave.
- Hoe a small watered plot so food is not a panic craft.
- Build one valid NPC room (walls, door, bed, light) so a trader can move in.
- Only then spend ore on a dedicated sword, bow, or staff.
That order is why pickaxe, torch, hoe, and watering can sit at the top of the tools list, while livestock and cooked meals sit at the top of the farming list.
What this hub is not
It is not a PvP ladder. Delverium is a survival sandbox: gather, build, farm, recruit, and crawl. It is not a Roblox code dump. It is not datamined. Calendar wording matters too: Early Access is scheduled, not treated here as a finished launch. For dates and scope, read the Early Access page. Official channels are listed on the links hub.
Wishlist the Steam store page and grab the Delverium Demo if you want to test a rank in your own seed. Send feedback through Steam Discussions or Discord. There is no confirmed Trello board, and this wiki will not invent one.
Come back after you finish a demo evening and ask a sharper question than “what is S-tier?” Ask which letter still matches your world. If the pickaxe still opens every ore wall and the hoe still saves the farm, the snapshot held. If Sagestone retunes harvest swings or pen rules during Early Access, this hub will move the letters. It will not pretend a February 2025 demo is a finished meta.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Delverium questions.
How is this tier list ranked?
By demo and preview utility on an S/A/B/C scale. S opens a first-hour gate; C can wait. We do not invent DPS numbers or item IDs, and every letter is an Early Access snapshot that can move.
Will these ranks change after September 22, 2026?
Yes. Steam Early Access is scheduled for September 22, 2026 (the storefront may show September 21). Balancing, recipes, and NPC shops are expected to shift. Use the lists as a session plan, not a forever meta.
Is there a separate PvP or Roblox tier list?
No. Delverium is a Steam survival sandbox from Sagestone Games. There are no redeem codes and no Roblox ladder. Combat ranks only describe melee (sword/axe) and ranged (bow/staff) utility in co-op PvE.
Where should I start if I only want farming or only want weapons?
Use the farming tier list for crops, livestock, and cooking, or the tools and weapons tier list for gathering tools and combat. Both pages link back here.
Does 8-player co-op change the ranks?
The letters stay the same; the copies you craft change. One shared world wants extra hoes, watering cans, pickaxes, and torches more than eight identical swords. See the co-op guide.
Are these ranks datamined?
No. They are preview-informed reads of the Steam demo (since February 2025) and public footage. If a table would require a hidden stat we do not have, we leave the number out and explain the job instead.
